Our company was founded in 1954 in the picturesque Lower Rhine region of Germany, approximately 40 minutes drive from the city of Düsseldorf. From modest beginnings we have evolved into market leader in the production of candle wicks.

Our blend of tradition and innovation enables us to develop and manufacture standard and speciality wicks of the highest quality for all candle applications.

To our over 600 customers world wide and indeed in the industry in general we are known simply as WEDO.

Although at WEDO, quality always takes priority over quantity, it is interesting to note that the length of all the wicks we manufacture annually placed end to end would circle the world fifteen times.
